Who We Are
A Double J Smokers is a family-run, veteran-owned business out of Godley, TX, dedicated to handcrafting affordable, professional grade BBQ smokers that bring people together.
Our Story
Founded by AJ, a 13-year Army Artillery veteran, our story is one of resilience, determination and passion. After dropping out of high school, he served our country, afterwards earning his B.A. and EMBA. He climbed the ladder to ultimately become a corporate executive. However, his true calling was crafting affordable smokers for BBQ enthusiasts, BBQ food trucks, country clubs, and restaurants.
One day, AJ found himself exhausted of the corporate politics and lack of compassion for people, and after much thought, prayers, and the unwavering support from his wife of 31 years, Jamie, he took a leap of faith, left the corporate world to hand craft restaurant grade smokers, and ultimately launched the A Double J Smokers company.
He is strongly supported by his tight-knit family, wife Jamie, Pop's RD, son Tyler, daughter-in-law Marnee, daughter Sara-Ann, and son-in-law Clayton.
